Youth encouraged to use local clinic

Each and every room at the clinic has its function and services rendered.

BELLAVISTA Clinic used its open day to launch the Youth Friendly Services (YFS) on June 29.

These are the day-to-day services offered at the clinic and they want to encourage youth to make use of them. Operational manager, Masesi Maswanganyi, told the patients at the clinic that they need to spread the word and inform other people in the community.

“The youth (aged 10 – 24) must feel free to come to us and discuss any health related issues. We promise to be friendly to them. Sometimes they are afraid to speak to their parents; we have trained professional staff to deal with them,” she said.

Each and every room at the clinic has a function and services rendered include HIV/AIDS testing services (HTS) and reproductive health as well as family planning and mother and child health. There is a vital room, acute room, chronic room and data capturing room.
