ASPEN held its annual Wellness Morning recently with the event dedicated to living well. With spring arriving it gave Aspen the opportunity to create awareness of the importance of wellness. The morning kicked off at 9am with a 30- minute sunrise yoga, which introduced the importance of balance and taking time out for yourself.

After this a tone-and-tighten class was given, which worked up a sweat, with the heat proving to be too much so that the Zumba class was moved inside the clubhouse. The last class held was Pilates.

After the morning activities, guests were given the opportunity to explore what the local wellness community had to offer, including DisChem Wellness Clinic, where residents could get health checks done. The Wits podiatry department hosted a foot-screening test and the chiropractic Mobility Clinic offered free primal screening. Other stalls consisted of wellness products.
