Tlhologelo Oratile ‘Rarang’ Basetsana Phuti Maitisa (20) who is from Polokwane, Limpopo, currently resides in Auckland Park.
She is a quiet person and respects people’s space. Oratile is an actress by profession and plays the role of Eunice in Skeem Saam.
She is inspired by her mother who works hard to reach greater heights in life. In the industry, she admires Connie Ferguson because of her humbleness and what she has achieved. Also, what strikes her about Connie is the powerful relationship she has with her husband. Oratile got into the industry because she had always been passionate about telling stories.
She attended school at Rev MP Malatjie Primary School and then went to Capricorn High School, both schools situated in Limpopo. She is involved in the DASA organisation which her cousin recently started to help people deal with depression and anxiety, as well as people that have attempted to commit suicide.
Oratile said: “In my spare time I read books, sing, sometimes meditate and I love netball. Listening to Afrobeat (Nigerian music) is what I like as well. In the near future, I would like to dive into the profession of a social worker because I love helping people.”
She is not similar to Eunice because Eunice is a very reserved person where Oratile is the total opposite, she mingles easily with people and people love her.
