THE Royal Family International Church in La Rochelle celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17.

Pastor Belinda Ponsonby, the founder of the church, opened the day with an inspiring word of God, in the book of Proverbs 20:6-7 and she went on to say every father should enjoy himself in the service.

Most of the members came with their dads to celebrate the day with them. Fathers were kept entertained with poetry, songs, acts and motivational messages.

GENEROUS: A man just walked in at church to worship God but at his surprise, he ended up being given a Father’s Day gift by Pastor Belinda Ponsonby, the founder and overseer of Royal Family International Church.

The was a session where church members were given a privilege to say Happy Father’s Day to every father present at the church. Pastor Belinda said: “The day was dedicated to every father in South Africa and as a church, we felt a need to celebrate the day. We hope next year we can do it better and have more fathers coming to the church to feel the love of God.”

After the church service fathers enjoyed a hearty meal and they also received food parcels to take home.
