Inspired to bring change in the community
“My aim is to set an example to those younger than me and always be there to lend a helping hand wherever needed.”
LOISHA Elliot (20) from Elandspark is a finalist for the Glow TV Miss Uniworld South Africa 2018 Pageant taking place on August 10 and 11 at the Izulu Theatre Sibaya in Durban.
This pageant showcases talented and inspiring individuals that empower youth, through empowered youth. This serves as a platform for her to make the change and be the change she wants to see in her community of Elandspark.
“I am currently a third-year student at the University of Johannesburg studying towards becoming a doctor of chiropractic. I am also a national model.
“I believe I am an individual that is set apart due to my eccentricity and my ability to dream big and work hard. I strongly feel that the biggest and most beautiful blessings in my life are the people within it. I have an eye for phenomena that are in need and I will work endlessly to achieve my visions, goals and dreams.
“My hope through this journey is to transmogrify whatever may cross my path with all my capabilities. I always say: ‘If you can dream it you can achieve it’. My aim is to set an example to those younger than me and always be there to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
“In aid of my title, I am hosting a fund-raising event taking place on July 28 at Rand Airport to sponsor charities that have impacted me and have a special place in my heart that will be remembered forever. These charities are within the region that I reside in.
“At this event, I have been fortunate enough to obtain a well-known comedian, Karou Charou, as entertainment for the night. He is in full support of this fund-raiser and I trust it will be one to remember,” explained Loisha.
