Bag Lady tells her story

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 9.30am at St Andrew’s Church, in the hall, Burger Street, Suideroord.

AT the Eikenhof Women’s Institute July meeting, the Bag Lady (Julie Maule) was the guest speaker and spoke about her life growing up in England and her move to South Africa in 1984.

She chatted about her trials and tribulations and how her life has now come full circle with her own daughter doing the same as she did, but moving to England from South Africa.

After her talk, some of the members received a small gift for having earned 1 500 points from competitions they have entered at the Eikenhof Women’s Institute.

Refreshments were served and the ladies thoroughly enjoyed the morning. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 8, at 9.30am, at St Andrew’s Church, in the hall, Burger Street, Suideroord. For more information please phone Joy Boswell (president) on 084 526 5857.
