Ladies want to improve healthcare services
Launch of Bambanani proved to be a success
LIDO Hotel hosted the launch of Bambanani Healthcare Services Co-operative on August 4 in Eikenhof.
Bambanani came to life on July 2 with eight founding members and has been established for the training of health workers, moderators, assessors and facilitators for the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA).
Bambanani members are retired professional nurses and managers in various fields of nursing. They came together with one specific goal – to add value to health care services and to provide assistance to healthcare workers.

The members have diverse skills and experience in healthcare services and will be working in close collaboration with HWSETA. The launch was staged to highlight strategic planning in going forward.
“We as the group aim to improve services of health in clinics, hospitals, community shelters etc. We would love to share the experience that we have acquired over the past years with other health workers. It’s not about making money for ourselves, it’s about the well-being of our fellow South Africans,” said Bambannai chairperson Beatrice Mohonga.
