THE president of Sir John Adamson’s representative council of learners (RCL) Gregory Sneyders was elected as president of the Gauteng RCL.
He was elected at Matthew Goniwe School in Braamfontein. This comes after he was appointed as the president of the Johannesburg Central District which saw 14 schools participate in the elections earlier this year at Sir John Adamson High School.
For the Gauteng Provincial presidential elections, the theme of the campaign had to be centred around the late former president Nelson Mandela’s legacy of being an active and noble citizen of South Africa.
Gregory engaged in interesting discussions with extraordinary young leaders from various walks of life in preparation for his presentation. When the day of presentation arrived he nailed it and he was then chosen as Gauteng president of RCL.
Gregory feels honoured coming tops out of 11 contenders.
“Holding this office is a tremendous honour and a remarkable experience with amazing challenges. I owe my deepest gratitude to my school Sir John Adamson and everyone who supported me in this achievement,” said Gregory.
