Man dies in his Rosettenville store

A shop owner, believed to be between 50 and 60, died in his Rosettenville shop on September 25.

A SHOP owner, believed to be between 50 and 60, died in his Rosettenville shop on September 25.

According to residents, the man was all well in the morning and he served customers in high spirits as usual. Residents and customers couldn’t believe when they found him dead.

“I can’t believe what I’ve just seen here. I saw the man this morning, now he is dead. We found him lying in his shop and we quickly called for help because we thought maybe he was shot,” said the resident.

Moffat View SAPS communications officer Jeff Phora said, “Police have opened an inquest and we are waiting for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.”
