THREE suspects aged 24, 25 and 26 years were arrested on Tuesday, October 30 in connection with a murder that occurred on October 29, at about 4.30pm in Pieter Place, Kibler Park.
An elderly man aged 75 years, was found in his room dead, with both his legs tied and multiple stab wounds. His vehicle, a green Fiat Uno was stolen along with his cellphone.
An investigation led to the arrest of the suspects in North West, Mahikeng in an area known as Six Hundred Rural. The suspects were found in possession of the deceased’s vehicle.
They are being detained at Mondeor police cells and will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on charges of murder, house robbery and theft. Station Commander of Mondeor SAPS Col Jacques Bezuidenhoudt commended the members from the Serious and Violent Crime unit for their dedication and hard work to ensure the suspects were arrested.
