SAPS cautions residents to be aware when hiring housekeepers

BOOYSENS SAPS management is appealing to the community to be careful when employing housekeepers.

SAPS advises individuals to ensure when they employ housekeepers, they should obtain a recent copy of the person’s identification document or work permit and most recent residential address along with contact details.

Capt Lorraine van Emmerik, communications officer, said: “Please also warn your domestic helpers of people coming to your house posing as government officials and asking permission to enter your premises to obtain information.”
