BOOYSENS SAPS Sergeant Godfrey Chewe’s hard work paid off after a suspect arrested by him was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment on December 27, 2018.
This comes after SAPS were busy with their daily patrols in Robertsham on April 28, 2018.
While patrolling they stopped an unknown man who was carrying two bags. The suspect was searched and one copper pipe, 13 reinforced steel bars, 58 pieces of copper and 18 pieces of aluminium were found in his possession. He was then arrested and detained.Sgt Chewe was given the docket to complete and collected all the relevant information and statements. Once the docket was completed, it was placed on the court roll and after that the suspect was sentenced.
