Children not forgotten by Cinderella’s Keeper Foundation

The organisation was founded by Masentle Mphelo (27) from Winchester with a purpose of helping children in need to get school uniforms.

CINDERELLA’S Keeper Foundation (CKF), a non-profit organisation, has played a pivotal role in children’s lives since its establishment in 2016.

The organisation was founded by Masentle Mphelo (27) from Winchester with a purpose of helping children in need to get school uniforms.

CKF has given about 500 children school uniforms and other necessities and is also providing stationery to needy children every weekend.

Mphelo was inspired by the actual fairy tale Cinderella and said the name refers to children who are struggling financially while the word ‘keeper’ refers to the founder who wants to comfort children at all time.

Every weekend she meets with children from Winchester and neighbouring areas to help them with their homework from her home.

When she spoke to the COURIER she said her family and associates have been pillars of strength in keeping the CKF running by providing her with the necessary tools.

“Most of the parents out there can’t handle the pressure of the current economic situation. Therefore, I want to help out those parents who want to see their children achieve more. Currently, CKF is running a back-to-school drive. We are collecting school shoes, white school shirts and school bags. All the items can be new or old. The aim is to dress at least 15 primary school children that are in need of our help,” said Mphelo.

Mphelo would appreciate it if people can donate any form of clothing or funds to uplift the communities of the southern areas. For more info contact Mphelo on 064 901 7947 or email cinderellaskeeper@gmail.com
