Hot dog competition takes contestants down

People struggle to eat hot dogs.

GULPING down 10 hot dogs in six minutes is not as simple as it sounds.

The competition was sponsored by Eskort on April 20 in Winchester Hills. Contestants had to try and finish 20 hot dogs in two sessions of six minutes each.

Eights contestants took part, but Magawula Motlhatlo came out on top by eating eight hot dogs over the two rounds.

Participants entered with high hopes, thinking they could finish what was on the table in less than three minutes, but that wasn’t the case. Contestants struggled to eat five hot dogs, with only two making it to the final.

Spectators had loads of fun while they cheered on the contestants.

Magawula will compete in the national championship on April 27.
