Mad Hatters’ Mother and Daughter Tea party

We thank our educators, our parents and our Grade 11 learners for really getting into the theme and making it an event to remember.

ON May 11, Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School hosted a charity fund-raiser, the Mad Hatters’ Mother and Daughter Tea.

Grade 11 learners were given the opportunity to host tables with their mothers and what a sophisticated affair it was. Beautifully decorated tables, scrumptious eats and to fit in with the theme, outrageous-looking hats.

Tandi Potgieter (Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Finalist – Mrs Personality 2019, founder of Empowering YOU SA, entrepreneur and brand ambassador for Mall of the South), was the judge for the ‘Best Dressed Table’ and ‘Most Outrageous Hat’. Tandi also gave a very thought-provoking chat on Empowering YOU.

The school thanked its sponsors who contributed amazing hampers and prizes. They are Bellez S Thetics, Tandi Potgieter, Doppio Zero, Colour King, Radical Products, Herbalife, The Laser Beautique, Classique Health and Body and Soul.

Olivia Storrier (Grade PR), Rachel Storrier (Grade One) and Holly Roberts (Grade Two), wore their fancy hats for this wonderful occasion.

“A special thank you to MBLAA (Marist Brothers Linmeyer Alumni Association), who sponsored the photo booth, where so many special memories were created.

“All the money raised will go towards the High School Charity Drive for 2019.

“We thank our educators, our parents and our Grade 11 learners for really getting into the theme and making it an event to remember,” said the school.
