South Hills woman left devastated after her caravan was set alight

The 56-year-old Andrea Taaibos said her caravan was set alight at a time when she thought of renovating it.

A RESIDENT from South Hills was left devastated after she found her caravan in ashes on April 2.

The 56-year-old Andrea Taaibos said her caravan was set alight at a time when she thought of renovating it.

“I used my caravan as a home and now my home is no more which makes me feel devastated. All I want now is to get a rented flat.”

“I do have an RDP house in Braamfisher, but the reason I don’t like living there is that I’m far away from the clinic. I’m old now and I have to be near a clinic always. If I don’t my health will be threatened. All that I need is to get myself a new place which is of good standard and that place is the one at Nephin Road,” said Taaibos.

Andrea Taaibos wants answers regarding her caravan.

She now hopes to get a flat and get her life back on track. She said she contacted Moffat View SAPS regarding her caravan but she received no help. Ward 57 Councillor Faeeza Chame said that it is impossible for Taaibos to get another RDP house while she owns one in Braamfisher.
