The IEA Elite is driven by a passion to grow a prosperous local community, and they are bringing local entrepreneurs of all ages and business types together to showcase their products and creations at an event that promises an entertaining day out for the whole family. Their mantra is to Inspire Entrepreneurs, so don’t miss out on the products at the entrepreneurial stalls their dedicated young learners will have on offer. Your taste buds will thank you.
They have a fantastic stage line-up, with music by Overland Music and Sean Miles, both virtuosos in the local music scene. Groovy dance moves by Street Jupiter and, for all the dog lovers, a dog demonstration by Your Dog & Me will be on at the main grass arena at noon. Bring your pooches along to enjoy the demo and enter them in the activity competitions after the demonstration, but please ensure they are on a lead. Prizes up for grabs for the best-behaved pup and owner.
Exciting activities for the children include a dedicated play area with a mechanical bull for the brave, a jumping castle, face painting, sand art, pony rides, a petting zoo, shongololo train rides, a bicycle track, mini-fun fair rides and more. All of this to keep the little ones occupied and happy while the folks enjoy the horse show, listen to the amazing artists on stage and shop at the various stalls on display at the market. With a variety of stalls from pets’ products, to beauty products, there is most certainly something to grab your attention.
Be sure to come hungry. There will be a variety of street food trucks waiting to feed you, from gourmet burgers and hot dogs to curry and rice and pancakes. Something for everyone’s taste buds. The local craft beer connoisseur, a coffee barista and slush puppies for the children are just a few of the drinks that will be on offer to quench your thirst.
In partnership with Enos Mafokate Soweto Riding Centre and Midvaal Local Municipality, they are also extremely honoured to be hosting the Mayor of Midvaal, Bongani Baloyi, to officiate and present prizes from our many sponsors of the event. It’s exciting to be able to offer cash prizes for the 80cm Two-Phase, 90cm Competition and 1m Championship classes, sponsored by New Turf Carriers, a leader in equestrian transport and a company that gives back to the equestrian sport.
