The barrier draw for the prestigious event will take place on October 21, also at Turffontein Racecourse from 11:30.
More than just a day at the races, the initiative centres on the theme ‘Racing with Purpose: Giving Back Through the Allied Steelrode Charity Mile’.
The racing industry has inspired the Allied Steelrode team to support initiatives that celebrate the sport while uplifting communities and helping those in need.
Their involvement with the Allied Steelrode Charity Mile stems from a shared passion for making a difference.
Together with charities and stakeholders, they have embraced the opportunity to use horse racing as a platform to create awareness and generate support for charities that work tirelessly every day to change lives.
The Allied Steelrode Charity Mile is more than a race. It celebrates generosity, community, and compassion. The initiative spotlights the incredible work of 20 deserving charities, giving them a platform to share their stories, connect with supporters, and inspire meaningful change.
Charities from Joburg South include Door of Hope, Cotlands, and The Hamlet Foundation.
The event is about giving back, raising awareness, and recognising the remarkable impact these charities have on vulnerable children, families, animals, and communities across South Africa.
Community members are invited to join for an unforgettable day of racing, entertainment, and charitable giving.
Entry is free, and one lucky attendee could drive away in a brand-new Suzuki Swift, proudly sponsored by Allied Steelrode.
To stand a chance to drive away in this brand-new car, you need to be present for the draw on race day.
“Together, let us help revive the excitement and passion of horse racing while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” said Group CEO and founder of Allied Steelrode, Arun Chadha.
