
BOOYSENS SAPS applauds its members and other role players for their work ethic and dedication in combating crime.
SAPS issued the total number of 166 arrests for the month of June.
SAPS made the following arrests: armed robbery – three, assault common – 20, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm – 11, attempted carjacking – two, carjacking – three, common robbery – two, contravention of second-hand goods acts – one, dealing in liquor – one, drinking in public – 24, drug-related crimes – 10, drunken driving – 29, fraud – one, intimidation – two, malicious damage to property – four, maintenance order – one, murder – three, negligent discharge of firearm – one.
Arrests further include possession of hijacked truck – six, possession of illegal firearm – one, possession of stolen motor vehicle – two, possession of stolen property – two, possession of suspected stolen property – five, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition – two.
SAPS continued to make arrests for rape – three, reckless and negligent driving – three, refusal to listen to a lawful instruction – two, shoplifting – 13, theft – five, trespassing – one and lastly violation of protection order – three.
