Tukiso Cyprian Sehlako from Lawley is putting his music on the map

Tukiso is putting his music on the map.

TUKISO Cyprian Sehlako, a music producer, rapper and up-and-coming actor, has high hopes of being a big hit one day.

The 28-year-old from Lawley produces his own music and helps other up-and-coming singers and producers to produce their own music.

He said producing music has been his desire since his childhood and he believes one day he will be a big name.

He told the COURIER producing helps him express himself musically and lyrically.

“Music is what I do best and I’m well known in my hood for my music. I also make it my mission to help other youngsters who want to see themselves in the top ranks in the industry,” he said.

He grew up listening to hip-hop and isicathamiya. Having a love for both genres, he now infuses both to form his own style.

Tukiso was inspired by artists like Pro Kid, Zola, KO, Lil Wayne, Drake and Hopsin.

“These are the artist one looks at to become inspired and keep going. I earnestly hope that one day I will be the one youngsters see as a role model.

“To promote my craft I perform at various events in and out of the province. The bigger your fan base is will help build brand,” said Tukiso.

Song released

Tukiso has released about four singles – Who the F-AMI, Giving my All ft Prudance, Through Hell and Ziwa Moertoe ft Mongayi.

He also released a local movie, Rossary, where he only cast people from his township.

He said all he wants is to uplift people from his community, but in order to achieve that he needs to put himself on the map.

Tukiso Sehlako aims to make his parents proud with his music.

“I will keep on performing at various events to put my name out there. I’m still working on releasing some singles and once I get recognition, an album can be released,” said Tukiso.
