GALLERY: Fund-raiser for animals a fun day
“It was a real fun day and thank you to everyone who came along to support us,” added Craig and Charlene.
A FUND-RAISER in aid of animal charities in the South, including A New Hope Dog Rescue, was recently held at Fun Paintball, along with a kite competition to encourage youngsters to make and fly their own kites.
Craig Smith and Charlene Strydom from Paul James Hairdressing, Columbine Square, Suideroord, organised the event and managed to secure sponsorships from Haval Alberton (Raceview Motors), Fun Paintball, Fox Security Glenvista and Pinx Events.
“We’d like to thank Meat World Comaro Crossing and Pick n Pay Mulbarton for their generosity in giving us discounted meat and rolls, as well as Doggies Palace,” said Charlene and Craig.
There wasn’t too much wind at the beginning of the fun day on August 18, but the youngsters who had made kites tried their best to get them in the air.
Community members were encouraged to bring their dogs along to join in the fun and a few ladies from Doggies Palace were on hand to clip the dogs’ nails.
“It was a real fun day and thank you to everyone who came along to support us,” added Craig and Charlene.
