Booysens SAPS sends their gratitude to Sgt Kubhayi and all roles players who assisted in obtaining a successful conviction.

A MAN was found guilty and imprisoned for life for murdering Nicolette Claudia Abrahams who disappeared in March 2015.

The woman was based in the Haddon area and after disappearing Booysens SAPS pleaded to the members of the public to assist in finding her.

Captain Lorraine van Emmerik, the Booysens SAPS communications officer, said all information received from the community was followed up.

Due to circumstantial evidence found from this information, Booysens SAPS opened a docket on April 14, 2015, to investigate a murder as Abrahams couldn’t be found.

“Sgt Tsundzuka Kubhayi handled the case and did his investigations which led to a male suspect who was arrested and the docket was taken to court,” said Van Emmerik.

According to Van Emmerik, the Senior State Prosecutor requested certain information which included statements, forensic reports and all other documentations.

“After all the information was added to the docket, the case was then placed on the court roll in Pretoria which saw the accused found guilty and imprisoned for life,” added Emmerik.
