One killed, two injured in collision in Mondeor

Unfortunately, the patient had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.

ONE person was killed and two others injured following a collision on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor, on September 1, during the evening.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before midnight, they found one patient was entrapped in the vehicle. The fire department had to extricate the patient using the Jaws of Life. Unfortunately, the patient had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.

Two others sustained moderate injuries and were transported to hospital by ER24.

No-one from the second vehicle sustained any injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
