MEMBERS of Circle of Friends met on September 17 at Piatto in New Redruth, Alberton, for their monthly meeting, and discussed what they had each been up to that week.

Her daughter Lynn Claxton and another member of the group, Glynis MacPherson, had been to Girls Night Out at The Glen Nu Metro to see Hustler.
“It was okay, not as great as we thought it may be,” they agreed.
Lunch at Just Darling Mall of the South was a treat out for Patricia Pheiffer, and Carrie Labuschagne had enjoyed her morning at the Probus Club.
For Laetitia Pretorius a visit to Hyto Tyto for a children’s birthday party was fun and Jean le Roux said she had caught up on the phone with her two daughters, one who lives in Ireland and the other in Canada.
Tillie Norman spoke about her recent trip to the Kruger Park with her husband Mick.
“We had a marvellous game ranger who really went beyond his call of duty,” she laughed. “With being quite short I couldn’t get up onto the game drive vehicle and he had to keep giving me a lift up, it was hilarious.
“We also visited an elephant sanctuary and we walked among them, really amazing.”
After a tasty breakfast the ladies chatted before going their separate ways to enjoy the rest of the week.
