Farewell JOY Dog Jazmine

“All three of the original Joy Dogs (Jazmine, Oscar and Yogi) have died and it now remains for Yola and Orion to carry on the tradition of making everyone happy."

JOY Dog Jazmine has died after struggling to and being unable to stand for the past week.

Her owner, Sue Green, said Jazmine was really not doing well and thought it best to end her suffering.

“I took her to our vet, Dave Erasmus in Kibler Park, and it was a peaceful ending for her,” said Sue.

Jazmine was 12 and a half years old, born in Port Elizabeth and had been a Joy Dog since its inception in 2010.

“Jazmine did store promotions for Dulux for over 12 years and I’ll always remember her barking for attention and treats and drawing the crowd.

“She was an exceptional Joy Dog too and certainly enriched many lives with her presence, beauty and abilities. She also starred in a Capri Sun advert which was flighted overseas.

“All three of the original Joy Dogs (Jazmine, Oscar and Yogi) have died and it now remains for Yola and Orion to carry on the tradition of making everyone happy. I’m sure they will do this admirably, after all, they learnt everything they now know from their predecessors,” added Sue.
