THE festive season has arrived and Booysens SAPS is urging community members to be extra careful in regards to hijacking and attacks taking place at night.
Booysens SAPS has experienced a large number of hijackings. These crimes normally take place in parking lots or cars parked on a pavement.
The public is encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and avoid leaving their cars unattended.
The increase of attacks to both men and women is overwhelming and happens frequently at night after attending a party.
People are advised not to walk home alone or allow their family and friends to walk alone at night; walking in groups is advisable.
