South Hills rape and murder case moved to 2020

DNA results stall Bors' case.

LORENZO Bors, who stands accused of raping and murdering Silindokuhle Kunene (18) has seen his case moving to February 4, 2020, after he appeared at Booysens Magistrate’s Court on December 12.

The 39-year-old allegedly raped and murdered Silindokuhle at her home in South Hills on March 6.

The case was postponed due to the outstanding DNA test results.

The State informed the magistrate that it has preliminary results, but is waiting for the final results.

Therefore, the magistrate remanded the case for the final DNA test results to be available for the matter to be trial-ready.

Bors will remain in custody as bail was not granted to him.
