Father and son injured in Walkerville armed robbery

A father and son were left injured this Wednesday morning, June 17 following an armed robbery at a farm in Walkerville.

Russel Meiring of ER24 said their paramedics arrived on the scene to find the local CPF members already in attendance. On closer inspection, medics found a father and son seated outside the residence.

Medics assessed the two and found that each had sustained a gunshot wound to their upper leg, leaving the father in a serious condition while the son was in a stable condition.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and the father provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to a private hospital for further care,” Meiring added.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.
