Nothing will stop Uncle Baboo in feeding the community

Baboo's Crew is based in Southdale and was founded by uncle Abdool Kader Aziz.

Baboo’s Crew went to Riverlea and distributed fresh, hot chicken akhni and chicken curry and rice on October 3.
They also distributed party packs to the children of the area.

“It was a joy to see the happiness on the faces of the children and the elderly. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our kind sponsors and Baboo’s Crew for all their efforts,” said Baboo Aziz.

Baboo’s Crew is based in Southdale and was founded by uncle Abdool Kader Aziz or as he is lovingly called, Uncle Baboo Aziz. Uncle Baboo is a gentleman who hails from KwaZulu-Natal but who has been living in Gauteng for the past 20 years.

Originally from Dannhauser, a former coal-mining town, uncle Baboo is no stranger to poverty. When he moved to Southdale, the poverty in the south moved uncle Baboo and that was when he decided to start the feeding scheme.

Uncle Baboo and his crew have been feeding the underprivileged for the past 10 years and have no plans on stopping anytime soon.

During lockdown, Baboo’s Crew fed daily all across Gauteng in areas such as Alberton, Palm Ridge and in squatter camps across the South of Johannesburg.

Presently, they feed in Riverlea fortnightly and rotate feeding at various old age homes in Kleindorpies, Bellavista and Turffontein. They also distribute meals in Glenesk, South Hills, Southland, Regents Park and Eldorado Park.

Uncle Baboo Aziz loves helping his community with food and whatever he can.
