Pensioner from Glenesk needs your help
Alta sleeps on a dilapidated couch. Her dream is to sleep in a proper bed.
Glenesk pensioner Alta Peach (66) is looking for good Samaritans to help her move back to her house which has been vandalised by the previous tenant.
She was renting out her house while she was living in another house with her recovering drug-addict son. Life hasn’t been good for her as she only survived with a pension allowance with her son.
“Anything that people can donate will be appreciated. My house is in a mess, no running water and no electricity. All I need is to start afresh. I’m urging people to please help me with paint, old but usable furniture like beds, sofas or anything that they may give me. I’m in the process of cleaning the house and some people are helping me with restoring electricity,” she said.

“I have been using this couch for some time and it would be great to have a bed for a change. I’m pleading with the people of the South to help me,” said Alta.
