Local businessman to the rescue of physically challenged athlete

Nceba said on behalf of his business Aluminstall Plus, he has donated a wheelchair with the help of KABC Church in Naturena.

Nceba Ndube from Naturena donated a wheelchair and money to physically challenged Lefi Kgosimolao from Freedom Park Extension 35.

Lefi is a member of Boccia Bandits Club and he needed donations to participate in a tournament in Eastern Cape. Boccia is a precision ball sport, similar to bocce, and related to bowls and pétanque.

The name ‘boccia’ is derived from the Latin word for ‘boss’ – bottia. The sport is contested at local, national and international levels by athletes with severe physical disabilities.

Nceba said on behalf of his business Aluminstall Plus, he donated a wheelchair with the help of KABC Church in Naturena.

“I also donated R500 towards the young man’s trip to the Eastern Cape. I felt the need to answer the call by donating the wheelchair that was given to me by Pastor Clive of KABC Church on behalf of his congregation in Naturena.

“When it was brought to my attention Lefi had no funding for his trip to the tournament on April 21, it really broke my heart,” explained Nceba who is a member of Naturena Business Hub and Naturena Business Chamber.
