Kenilworth clinic opens

Linda is proud to realise her dream of opening a clinic.

Proud Regents Park health practitioner Linda Makofane opened her dream clinic, Boipelo Day Clinic, in Kenilworth on August 2.

She said this has been her wish to open a clinic in the area after working in the health facilities for quite some time.

“I have worked in government and private hospitals as well as local municipality clinics. This is where my dream of opening my clinic started.

“Patients including mothers who had just given birth, visiting the clinics for three to six days post-delivery with their babies for post-natal care, some with Caesarean sections or episiotomies having to wait in long queues, made me realise there must be other options.

“After a couple of years being employed, I took a leap of faith and registered my clinic. It did not kick off the way I had imagined as it was not well marketed. That same year I was employed at a clinic, which was a pioneer of primary healthcare in the private sector.

“This ignited that spark I had of owning my private practice.

“I believe patients should have a choice from a variety of healthcare facilities, therefore, minimising long waiting times and overcrowding in local clinics, especially now during the pandemic. Reduced waiting times is our pride at Boipelo Day Clinic, our patients are our priority,” explained Makofane.
