At the beginning of 2021, Sheriff June Thomas, in partnership with the Full Gospel Church of God, Johannesburg South, volunteered to assist the Nkosi’s Haven by regularly contributing towards their physical and spiritual needs.
Pastor Jack Chirwa said they have since been having services every second weekend at the home where they share the word of God and lunch with them.
“On December 18, we had our end of year function with them by hosting a Christmas service and lunch and shared Christmas gifts.

“Thanks to Gail Johnson, the director of the haven for giving us the opportunity and thanks to the Sheriff and her team, the Full Gospel Church of God members, Agape Bears and others for contributions made to make this event possible.
“There is a need for further help and anyone is welcome to come on board to assist for the improvement of our community. Nkosi’s Haven is a children’s home with approximately 98 children and several mothers who are victims of gender-based violence,” explained Chirwa.
