Naturena rapper aims to inspire the youth

He started music when he was 13 years old.

Kearan Lindenberg (19) from Naturena is a young rapper who goes by the stage name of Lil Tech Savage.

He produces music and has been composing lyrics since March 2020 when the pandemic started in South Africa.

“When I was 13 years old, I would write and recite poems for fun. One day while I was listening to a song, I started reciting my poem and composing lyrics. I was inspired by an African American female rapper, Megan Thee Stallion,” he said.

His genre is hip-hop and rap/trap.

“My first song is called Street Rules. It is a symbolic reference that showcases the way people want you to live your life, which in my vocabulary is known as street rules. Hence, the lyrics ‘never play it by the street rules’, my way of saying live your best life your way.

“My music has changed from an aggressive mood to a more soft kind of feeling, still upholding a positive message within the songs. When I started composing lyrics, I realised I was good at making beats, hence the Lil Tech part. My lyrics came across as savage, that’s where the rest of my name comes from,” he said.

“My message to the youth is never give up on your dreams. Always believe in yourself and anything is possible. I am working on my next project, which I plan on releasing later this year.

My songs are available on any music platform and YouTube at Lil Tech Savage-topic, Instagram: @Liltechsavage and Facebook: Lil Tech Savage. I plan on releasing T-shirts as merchandise soon.

I have a WhatsApp group for my music. If there are people who would like to be on the group, they can WhatsApp me on 071 981 0601.”
