‘Straatbraai’ comes to Brackendowns
The scenic drive team broadcasted live from Brackendowns during the braai.
On May 20, members from the Jacaranda FM programme Scenic Drive with Rian visited 7 Hakskeen Street in Brackendowns for a ‘Straatbraai’.
This was the 24th edition of the ‘straatbraai’ and saw residents from Brackendowns come out in full force for a get-together.
Not even the cold weather and constant threat of rain could stop residents from coming to the braai.
Residents pulled out all the stops to ensure that Rian van Heerden and his team won’t soon forget their time in Alberton.
Denise and Barry Seller, the hosts for the braai, were interviewed during the show.
The couple has been married for the last 45 years and told their love story to the team during their interview.
Denise made snacks for the team to enjoy while mingling with their fans and residents.
The braai carried on till late at night and was enjoyed by everyone, young and old.
