Slipper drive for the elderly a big success

Oasis Aspen Village and Oasis Ridgeway Gardens blessed Directorate Enforcing Older Person Rights with donations.

For the past three months, a slipper drive has been in place at Oasis Aspen Village and Oasis Ridgeway Gardens.
They reached out to all their clients, and some of them donated slippers.

According to Ashley Agrella, they later made a decision to visit the Directorate Enforcing Older Person Rights (DEOPR), on the hillside of Southern Klipriviersberg Road, to hand out these donations.

Some of the individuals who joined the initiative.

Louie Ackerman, franchisee for Aspen Villages and Ridgeway Gardens, gave each of the elderly a 5l bottle of water, while the frail care recipients were each given two 750ml bottles.

They surprised the care home with some tasty cupcakes as well as a pair of slippers for both male and female residents.

“We appreciate every one who gave a pair of slippers. We appreciate Value Co, our primary sponsor, for their generous donation of several slippers,” Ashley concluded.
