VISPOL and partners visits Impact Independent School

VISPOL members visited the Impact Independent School with the help of partners NPO Sudden Light and their CPF youth section.

Members of Vispol worked together with partners NPO Sudden Light and the CPF youngsters to visit the Impact Independent School on August 9.

Warrant officer Gerhard Cornelius, spokesperson of Brackendowns SAPS, said they addressed the Grade 8 learners on the influence of substance abuse and social media in youth and the dangerous consequences one can face if exposed to those circumstances.

The school awareness programme was themed under Be Yourself, Not a Copy.

As part of the programme, after the discussion the group of learners was searched for illicit drugs and dangerous weapons.
