Ngobese wants to represent women who have given up
She wants to give hope to women and to tell them their dreams are valid.
Southerner Talia Ngobese, Mrs Global SA semi-finalist, described herself as a daughter of God, a sister and aunty, a wife to her best friend, a mother of three beautiful children and a friend.
“We come from a month where women were celebrated and appreciated, but this may have also been a month where most of us were left vulnerable and exposed, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
“I entered this pageant to represent not just myself but represent women and girls who not only look and sound like me, but this is for girls that have given up on themselves, and girls that feel like they may not really fit into what society says is pretty. This is for us, because we matter, our voices need to be heard and our mark needs to be made and left.
“We want to remind anyone wanting to give up on themselves, your dreams and goals are valid: You matter, keep the faith. You are needed here because you still have a contribution to make in your family, in your workplace, in your school, in your area.
“If you like to be part of my journey, please reach out to me on talingobese@yahoo.com, also vote for me and let’s bring this crown back home to the South,” she said.
