Edu-Lab will be having a Donkey Derby as a fundraising event at South Downs Country Club on October 21 from 18:00. Derby starts at 19:00.
Entry is R200 per person and it includes a light dinner. There will also be a children’s party in the adjacent hall. It will be R80 per person including a light dinner.
Edu-Lab is an educational facility in the south of Johannesburg where that cater to mainstream learners and children with learning barriers or special needs.
Owner Victoria Sosa said the centre is in financial difficulty and still trying to pick itself up after Covid-19.
“I cannot stress enough the kind of work that we do and how much of an impact we have on our children in the community. We are a support structure to not only children within our centre but to children attending other schools,” she said.
