DopeFlop Music new song finds its way in fans’ hearts
The town of Alberton continues to show that it is home to a number of rising celebrities as DopeFlop Music keeps winning many fans heart in each of his songs.
Thokoza’s well-known musician released yet another hit song right after having the nation going down to his last track.
Joy Mkhwanazi, better known by his stage name DopeFlop Music, is a popular local artist from Thokoza. He began his musical career when he was 12 years old and began recording in a studio a year later. He hasn’t looked back since then.
DopeFlop Music said that his new release is an easy-going summer song that speaks about the fact you cannot wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy. He said that you can keep things simple but still have the best time of your life.
“We were coming from a music video shoot when my producer, The Voshorist, Taminology and I composed the song. My producer played the beat while driving and we started freestyling to the song. Then and there we decided that the following week we should head to a studio to record the song and title it Siyabangena,” said the star.
DopeFlop Music has performed alongside several top-charting musicians, including Big Zulu (also known as Siyabonga Nene, the founder of Nkabi Records), Silo Magolide, Musiholiq, Mduduzi Ncube, Lwando Buso, and Musiholiq.
The rising star told the Alberton Record that he’s learned time management skills through music. He began playing music in elementary school, and he needed to balance music and academics to simultaneously satisfy his own goals and those of his parents.
“My style of writing is mostly inspired by the beat that is presented to me. Once I get a beat, the beat immediately leads to a vision and idea of a song. Then the flow and message of the song is born. My goal is to make this song grow even bigger,” said DopeFlop Music.
A lot of people have jumped on to the #SiyabangenaChallenge on social media platforms (Instagram and Tik Tok) with over 300 000 views using the song. The song is played on a couple of radio stations including Inanda FM, Vibe FM, Kasie FM and Metro FM.
DopeFlop Music’s next move is to shoot a music video for his recent release.
The local star advised everyone out there to always work hard for what they believe in because hard work pays off.
“If you put the best effort into whatever you’re doing and towards your dreams you will definitely win. Even the smallest steps and moves count, you must start somewhere in order to achieve your dreams and goals and taking that one crawl or step means you are a step closer than previously. Never give up,” the musician said.
The ambitious musician intends to provide his audience with more music that will speak to everyone who believes in the multiple paths that life may traverse.
