Top learners awarded at Naturena Primary School

Parents and students flocked to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their peers and children, with BoNo investment bestowing a laptop to an overall top Grade 7 learner, Lilitha Loliwe.

Naturena Primary School in Naturena held an honours day ceremony on December 8 in the school’s hall.

Parents and learners flocked to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their peers and children, with BoNo investment bestowing a laptop to an overall top Grade 7 learner, Lilitha Loliwe.

According to Ismael Mashau, the school’s principal, they awarded all of the learners who had worked hard throughout the year.

“We are so lucky because we received visits from different sponsors that have been working with us. Congratulations to my learners and I remind them that they must keep up with their hard work.”

Mashau said they believe that once they start awarding learners for their accomplishments, it will act as a motivator to achieve greater things.

Co-founder of BoNo Property Investment, Patricia Tshitema, said the company is a fit-for-purpose property investment and management company which owns Opal Student Brand where students live, learn and connect.

“Corporate social investment is fundamental to the company and core to the company’s objectives. We believe in empowering communities, starting with those in our vicinity, as charity begins at home.

“The relationship BoNo has with Naturena Primary School is mutual and continues to grow regularly. BoNo aims to nurture and maintain this relationship long-term. We sponsored a laptop and related accessories to Loliwe, a Grade 7 learner who bagged multiple awards and also gave a speech that commanded a standing ovation.

“We believe in empowering communities, one at a time, and pushing back frontiers of non-development. We want to be referenced as the epitome of partnerships and collaborations,” said Tshitema.
