CPS Security locates hijacked truck in Alberton

After receiving a tracker signal of a hijacked truck from the tracker network, CPS Security located the vehicle on January 11.

The security company found a hijacked truck and trailer that had been transporting metal sheet coils. The vehicle was reported as hijacked via the tracker network app on January 11.

CPS Security director, Tyrone van der Merwe, said they located the hijacked truck and trailer after their tactical team responded to a tracker signal.

“We suspect that the hijackers were disturbed and dropped the hijacked vehicle,” he said.

The suspect’s truck was also located at the scene.

Alberton SAPS were contacted, and the scene was handed over to them.
