Recently in the Alberton SAPS policing precinct, a driver was kidnapped, and his truck hijacked.
The truck had two trailers filled with luggage. The driver was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced into a culprit’s private vehicle while the other culprits fled with the trailers.
Captain Manare Ramotshela, the Alberton SAPS communication officer, said the truck and trailers were recovered, but the items were missing. The victim was found uninjured.
“SAPS members ask the community to provide SAPS with any information about the incident they might have. Our station commander welcomed this wonderful job performed by the members who recovered the truck. Assistance is needed to bring these culprits to book. Thanks in advance,” he said.
