House burglar arrested in Brackendowns

A case has been opened with Brackendowns SAPS of house breaking.

A house burglar was arrested in Neville Street, Brackendowns, on May 8.

Director of CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe, said that they got a call from a resident who said someone was trying to break into his house and needed immediate help.

“Our reaction units were dispatched to the complaint and resulted in one suspect being apprehended,” said Van der Merwe.

Upon the arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of stolen goods.

Brackendowns SAPS were contacted and the suspect was taken into custody.

CPS Security said that they have had an increase in criminal activities during the early hours of the morning.

“Please ensure your alarms are being activated and that your battery is in working condition as load-shedding will affect it,” Van der Merwe concluded.
