The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 25-year-old suspect and multiple illegal substances were confiscated on May 12.
As officers were patrolling the Alberton area, they spotted a suspicious-looking male on the corner of Padstow Street and Voortrekker Road. The law enforcers approached him, introduced themselves and conducted a search.
Upon searching, officers found 17 ziplock bags of crystal meth and five full Mandrax tablets in his possession .
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Alberton Police Station. Facing charges of possession of illegal substances and possible dealing, he is expected to appear at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
