Alberton Cobras Shotokan Karate Academy bags 51 medals in SASKA SA championships

Students from the Alberton Cobras Shotokan Karate Academy won 51 medals after participating in the South African Shotokan Karate Academy SA championships in Pretoria.

The South African Shotokan Karate Academy (SASKA) recently hosted its annual SA Championships in Pretoria.

The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club from Alberton, under the leadership of sensei Laurent and Nicholas Gaston Bellegarde, were the hosting dojo.

Clubs from around Gauteng turned out in large numbers for the tournament, and the competition was fierce.
The Cobras did well by bringing home 51 medals in total (18 gold, 15 silver, and 18 bronze).

The Cobras Club trains at Ascot Mews at 19 Heidelberg Avenue, Newmarket, on Monday and Wednesday from 17:30 to 18:30 for beginners, with advanced classes from 18:30 to 19:30.
