UPDATE: Protest sees utility vow to restore power

An agreement between the parties saw the Rosettenville protest called off, but the power outage remains unresolved.

An agreement between protestors and City Power saw the protest that erupted on January 15 on the corner of Norris and Geranium streets in Rosettenville suspended.

The utility promised to attend to the lengthy electricity outages that sparked the protest.

However, residents must remain cautious when travelling in the area because protestors have threatened to reignite their demonstration should their power not be timeously restored.

Efforts to resolve the issue and restore power are ongoing.
