Mulbarton restaurant murder case: Trial date to be set in January

Daniel Rowland trial continuation date to be set in January.

Daniel Rowland, accused of murder and drug possession after he was involved in a shooting at Il Camino restaurant in Mulbarton in 2021, appeared for the postponement of his trial on December 6 in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court.

Rowland’s advocate Mohammed Mayet could not make it to court, but an agreement via a phone call between Mayat and the state prosecutor was reached.

The agreement was to ask the magistrate for the case to be remanded till January 24.

Magistrate Matshitse postponed the trial until January 24, where a date for the continuation of the murder trial will be decided by the court.

“The case is remanded till January 24, when a date for the continuation of this trial will be decided,”” said Magistrate Matshitse.
