Suspect nabbed for cable theft in Glenanda

Security's quick response leads to arrest of suspected cable thief in Glenanda.

In a swift and successful operation, CPS Security’s reaction unit apprehended a suspected cable thief on Voster Avenue in Glenanda on April 1.

The suspect was spotted walking with heavy items, prompting the security team to request backup and confront the individual.

As the security units approached, the suspect attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly caught and apprehended.

The suspect was handed over to the Mondeor SAPS and detained.

Commander Tanisha Madaray of the Mondeor SAPS confirmed the arrest.

“I can confirm that the suspect has been detained and after an investigation into his criminal record, he will be charged,” said Madaray.
