South Hills murder suspects to apply for bail
The suspects will remain in custody until the next court date.
The four suspects in the South Hills murder case appeared in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on October 7.
The case could not proceed on time because the prosecution did not have the case. After a lengthy delay, the docket arrived at the court, and the case proceeded.
The court was to hear the case for a bail application, but the legal aid attorneys, Messrs Ramashiya and Chauke, were not present to represent Accused Three for the second time.
It is still unclear how the minor who has been called to court twice is involved in the case.
The suspects were not able to submit their applications for bail, and Magistrate Mashitse was forced to postpone the case.
“For formal bail applications for all four of the accused, the case will be remanded until October 10. All accused to remain in custody,” said Magistrate Mashitse.
